Cats: Held for 5 days if brought in from Clarkston City. LCAS currently cannot accept stray cats from Asotin County unless they have ID. Cats with ID are held for 5-7 days after contacting the owner.
Asotin City
Dogs: Held for a mandatory 7 days.
Cats: LCAS does not accept stray cats from Asotin City. Asotin City operates a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program. For assistance, contact Asotin City Hall at (509) 243-4411.
How to Help Your Pet Stay Safe at Home
To prevent your pet from becoming lost, LCAS strongly recommends ensuring they always wear proper identification, such as License tag, Rabies tag, Microchip and/or Collar with a name tag.
If your pet is missing, take these steps:
- Check with your local shelter, veterinary clinics, and community lost pet websites.
- File a lost pet report with local authorities.
- File a report with LCAS or contact us at (208) 746-1623 or info@lcshelter.org.
Your proactive efforts combined with our support can help bring your furry family member home!
